Artopia studio is shanghai-based multidisciplinary artist Yiqian's creative exploration field, which engages in independent zine making and self-publishing, alongside handmade artist books. Mostly focusing on photography explorations, the projects also merge the fields of drawing, painting, printmaking, calligraphy, installation, performance, and poetry writing. Printmaking and digital printing techniques are integrated into the handmade process, books are circulated primarily through different art book fairs in Asia and North America. After getting a MFA from School of the Art Institute in Chicago, Yiqian held solo exhibitions and collaborated extensively with other performers，dancers，filmmakers，and writers, always flowing in gyre of the embracing spirit. The body of work delves into themes amid memories beneath history, transience in intangibles, body movements deviated from consciousness, and intricacy under veils of culture identities.
